Diligence

Kamal was from a poor family but he was ambitious. He wanted to become a doctor so that he could save people’s lives.

Kamal diligently studied everyday. His mother encouraged him, although as the eldest in a family of four, he had to help her run the nasi lemak stall.

Kamal managed to get 5 A’s for his PMR examination. He knew this was not enough. He worked even harder and obtained 8’As in his SPM examination.

He was awarded a scholarship to study Form 6. His good results in Form 6 earned him another scholarship to study medicine in University of Malaya.

At the age of 25, Kamal graduated as a doctor and made his mother proud.
